„Civilizing space since 1968.”

The Fisher Space Pen celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Moon landing with an intergalactic campaign.

Americans spent millions of dollars developing a pen that could be used in space. Did the Russians use a pencil? That's the urban legend, which is of course not true. However, the space pen does exist and it's very cool!

Which brand would be capable of launching an intergalactic campaign timed for the 40th anniversary of the Moon landing? The special Fisher „space pen,” codenamed AG-7, could only debut on the Apollo 7 mission in 1968 after extensive testing. In 1969, during the legendary Apollo 11 mission, the AG-7 played an important role: one of the switches on the control panel broke in the lunar module, which Aldrin replaced with the small metal pen. Later that year, the Soviet space agency also purchased 100 units of the AG-7.

Although the Fisher Space Penundoubtedly has a strong connection to the golden age of space travel, the Kastner & Partners Creative Agency did not rely on nostalgia: in their campaign plan, they connected the „entire civilized galaxy” with the brand. In their key visuals, Zorgons, Korgs, and Groxps model in earthly suits, with Fisher space pens in their jacket pockets, proving that this great little tool not only left Earth and reached the Moon, but also connects civilizations across the galaxy.

Would the Zorgs' creative agency build a brand like this? The answer is over there...
