Aromax: Green forest, green planet

Aromax, known for its high-quality essential oils and natural cosmetics, launched its joint campaign in December with MyForest, which promotes community tree planting.

The Aromax “Green Forest, Green Planet” program targets environmentally conscious consumers: the company will plant a named sapling in collaboration with MyForest for every purchase of the Aromax 5-in-1 Air Purifier from the webshop. As a small gesture, Aromax will also send a branded gift package to participants in the program, which includes a tea tree oil, a backpack with the inscription “Green Forest, Green Planet,” and a fridge magnet that says “I have a tree too!”.

The company originally planned to plant 200 trees, but the campaign became so popular among its customers that the promotional stock ran out in less than a month and a half. Therefore, Aromax decided to extend the campaign: now a total of 400 named saplings are waiting to be planted in the autumn in the 1-hectare so-called eternal forest created at the border of the village of Erzsébet in Baranya County (the name refers to the fact that these trees cannot be cut down). The sapling owners can also participate in the spring planting. According to plans, a recording will be made of the ceremonial planting of the first tree, which will be available on the company's YouTube channel..

Owners of Aromax saplings will also become “co-owners” of all MyForest forests. Thus, they have the right to visit any MyForest forest, whether with family or friends, and spend valuable time there.

 

When the stars align

A MyForest's goal is to combat global warming by doubling the number of forests on Earth. The organization, which operates as a foundation, aims to create a platform first in Hungary and then internationally to double the number of forests on Earth. This is urgently needed because the forests that have shrunk to a third of their size in the last 200 years can no longer absorb the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by humanity.

A Aromax Zrt., which deals with the production and distribution of high-quality aromatherapy products, has developed the AROMAX 5-in-1 air purifier. Its message resonates with MyForest's philosophy: just as trees absorb and store carbon dioxide, which causes warming, during the growing season, the Aromax air purifier, which holds a Hungarian patent, is also the master of air purification at home: the small device provides effective assistance against viruses, bacteria, mold, pollen, and dust mites.

Integrated communication

The Aromax campaign ran on social media platforms, as well as on Central Media's online platforms (24.hu, Babaszoba, Cosmopolitan, Well&Fit, NLC, Házipatika, Nosalty). In addition to the PR appearances that laid the groundwork for the communication, the company's own online platforms also received significant emphasis.
An important part of the campaign was education, for which an animated film was also made.
The media mix included print appearances functioning as inserts: the premium quality Aromax informational booklet was received by subscribers of National Geographic, Kismama, and Nők Lapja Egészség packaged together with the magazine issue.
A responsibly thinking, open company and of course the right corporate culture were needed for this campaign idea to be realized without compromise. With the „Green Forest, Green Planet” campaign, Aromax successfully reached and addressed its target audience and further strengthened those brand values that today no beloved brand can be imagined without.
